An organization may have all layers perfectly designed and planned, but without the proper labor services to implement, support, and optimize the system much of the return on investment will be lost before the solution is even implemented.

ISI is dedicated to only the best engineering and labor practices, and makes it a policy to allocate 8 hours of continuing education per engineer per week. ISI only employs certified engineers with minimum certification levels for Senior and Junior Network Engineer job positions.

Senior Network Engineer - Required to carry at least two major certifications and one minor certification

Junior Network Engineer - Required to carry at least one major certification and one minor certification

Major Certifications - MCSE (counts as two), MCSA, CCNA/CCDA Combo, CCNA/CIPTES Combo, CISSP (counts as two)

Minor Certifications - MCP, CCNA, CCDA, A+, Network+, Security+

Project Labor - Utilizing only certified engineers from certified firms ensures that best practices will be used throughout the planning, preparation, and implementation of the entire system.  A lifecycle services approach to the system must be well-understood, as the system must be designed to effectively and efficiently support business processes throughout the useful life of the application or system.

Monitoring / Support – Determining quantitative metrics by which system success and performance will be judged are critical.  It is therefore necessary that some type of monitoring solution be put in place to ensure that the system will be continually optimized and updated as business requirements change and develop over time.  Any and all ongoing support for maintaining systems is also performed at this layer, including break/fix.

Optimization – Optimizing the solution to increase performance, security, and reliability of the system depends heavily on the initial and proper implementation of the system and the continual monitoring of the system so as to predict when and if optimization is necessary.  Utilizing only certified administrators to perform these functions ensures compliance with best practices and increases the return on investment.
