Adaptive Security Appliance - Cisco Systems, Inc. manufactures a comprehensive line of Adaptive Security Appliances that provide anti-X security that defends against viruses, spam, spyware, phishing attacks, offensive web content, and intrusion attempts while providing sophisticated and powerful Virtual Private Network (VPN) capabilities for remote sites and individual users.

Watchguard Firebox - ISI also recommends, resells, and installs equipment manufactured by Watchguard, Inc. that provides similar anti-X capabilities to the Cisco ASA 5500 series but with less integration for voice and video services on the network. A good alternative for organization not looking for a fully converged stack, this line of firewall appliances provide a lower price point while preserving core security at the perimeter.
