Regent Broadcasting: Rapid Response

ISI prides itself on being able to respond with amazing speed and service: In many cases ISI can arrive on-site same day to correct problems. When emergency situations arise, ISI responds even quicker.

The Challenge:

Regent Broadcasting is a broadcasting company located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, and broadcasts such radio stations as WGRD, WFGR, WLHT, and WTRV. On Memorial Day weekend, Regent Broadcasting had an emergency when their file server went down. This file server was relied upon by all four of Regent’s radio stations so it was imperative that an immediate solution was found.

The Solution:

Within 10 minutes, ISI had an engineer working with Regent to resolve the problem. After identifying exactly what had gone wrong, ISI developed a plan to recover the server and restore it to an operational state. ISI labored rigorously on the day before Memorial Day to ensure that Regent’s server was completely restored to a working condition without any data loss whatsoever. Regent’s Phil Katin said of the situation, “We really got lucky that we had someone like ISI to pull us through!”
